This book is a facsimile reproduction of naturalist Edith Holden’s diary for the year 1906. The book presents Edith Holden’s words, illustrations and paintings in full colour, conveying the beautiful flora and fauna of the British countryside.

This is a pre-loved hardback of The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady, by Edith Holden. The book was first published in 1977 (the diary having lain undiscovered for the seventy years prior!) and this is a fifth impression, printed in 1978. The book is in very good condition with minor wear to the cover, and a small tear to the top-left on the front cover. There is some fading to the spine. A previous owner’s name is written on the front page.
